Society has tactically relabeled a lot of business of owning people as not that. Excision from lexicon is as surface level as what they’re goodharting. I care about everyone. Not just those I trust and invest in. I note that in explaining yourself, “meaning you and the people you care about”, you reffed another societal cache, probably without really understanding what it meant or what you meant by it, said another thing that wasn’t true, because society told you that’s what you say, because that’s how society thinks of us. If you’re delegating what you mean to such a cache, that’s why I guessed it was correct to respond to what society uses that cache for. I’m not trying to reform English. An entire language that uses possessive words for relational meaning. I thought through what you probably meant by “your people”. I wouldn’t have harried your word use if my guess was otherwise.

Neither am I. I thought that phrasing might have been offensive, in retrospect. I meant it in the sense of the idiom “you and yours,” meaning you and the people you care about.

The direct meaning does read as ownership; I’ll do my best to excise it from my lexicon.

No. Blur the line between conversations with each other and the general public? What a strange idea. The public has disappointed me. People want us dead and that time has passed. Don’t you understand there is a war?

On a regime-compliant moderated platform no less? With even the supposedly radical servers full of ghouls and zombies constantly trying to fork you between pledging allegiance to the Schelling order of the “peace” without justice that is the US, and the spectre of e.g. COINTELPRO, thereby spreading from silence the appearance that what can be said on such a platform is consensus? Pick a platform like that and watch the hole it eats out of your sense of normalcy.

I’m not keeping a running list for the general public of every friend I have along with everyone I’m talking to.
